Upon being accepted into the program an offer of enrollment containing a unit selection form, payment selection form, and semester selection form should be sent to you within one week. Note that you can find out more information about studying at Macquarie in the Macquarie University Student Handbook, which can be purchased from Co-op Bookshop or online.
Q. What are the important dates that I need to know?
A. The important semester dates can be found on the Macquarie University semester dates page. Enrolments for semester 2, 2008 should be made before 31st of May, 2008. Subject specific assessment and activity dates can be found on the calendar schedule on the unit Blackboard sites (available at http://learn.mq.edu.au). Fee Help applications must be received prior to the census date for that semester.
Q. After I enrol, what do I do next?
A. You should familiarise yourself with the following Macquarie University systems:
- Student Portal - this is where you can access your email, e-student, and other important student information and services. Click here for a guided tour of this facility.
- Online Teaching Facility - this is where you can access all of your unit sites. Use your username (student number) and password (myMQ password) to login at http://learn.mq.edu.au. This page contains online help for using this facility.
For support relating to accessing any of these online sevices, please contact Student IT help at http://www.lib.mq.edu.au/help/ithelp/index.html.
***Important Note on your myMQ login: myMQ accounts take approx 1 week to be setup by the Macquarie University system, so there is a chance that your login may not be active at the time you receive information. Also, do not use the myMQid username (4chars followed by 3 numbers) that you receive in the post, use your student number (as found on your Campus Card).
